iLink Resources is Hiring an Assistant Project Manager (CB) Near Chicago, IL
This position will collaborate with the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager in the construction of commercial and infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or 2 years of construction experience in Project Management.
- 2 years of experience in construction, ideally in commercial or infrastructure.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Knowledge of Project Management and scheduling.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise assigned projects and their respective scopes under the guidance of the manager.
- Coordinate and liaise with the owner's representative to provide regular updates on project progress.
- Develop initial estimates and budgets for projects.
- Engage and choose subcontractors to request and obtain bids.
- Evaluate and assess proposals from subcontractors.
- Create, review, and seek approval for contract modifications and proposals to be presented to the owner.
- Negotiate contract changes and proposals directly with the owners.
- Manage the solicitation and processing of submittals and shop drawings.
- Collaborate with the team to prepare a comprehensive CPM project schedule.
- Develop and maintain the job cost budget.
- Regularly supervise and monitor construction progress alongside the Superintendent.
- Maintain and organize all project documentation.
- Investigate and report any adverse situations to the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Manager.
- Act as a representative of the company in project meetings, when necessary.
- Assume responsibility for monitoring and controlling project costs.
