Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at IDP, Inc. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility, with a primary focus on maintaining machinery, conducting routine oil changes, and addressing various building, flooring, and facility maintenance needs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance and oil changes on presses and punches to ensure optimal functionality.
• Conduct inspections and troubleshoot machinery issues, collaborating with production staff to identify and address concerns promptly.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment, documenting work performed and maintaining accurate records.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the shop floor, including routine checks on flooring conditions and addressing any repairs or improvements needed.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime and disruptions to production.
• Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services when necessary.
• Assist in the implementation of new equipment and machinery, providing input on maintenance requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in maintenance procedures.
• Work closely with the Health and Safety team to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
• Keep inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and reorder items as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of machinery maintenance, oil change procedures, and general building maintenance.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift/move heavy equipment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
