The Team You will work with a team of communications and events professionals supporting one or more of our federal clients. As our next events specialist, you will work in lock step with the account team and federal clients to make their vision come to life. We're currently hiring a Communications Specialist, Events to support the planning, development, and implementation of virtual, hybrid, and in-person meetings and conferences. The Work We are seeking a Communications Specialist to join our team to help plan, design, and execute virtual and hybrid events for our federal clients. The Communications Specialist is an excellent communicator, has an enthusiasm for collaboration, a proactive work approach, and has a genuine interest in events. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with our federal government clients and internal ICF team members. Key Responsibilities: * Develop work plans and track milestones and timelines for multiple meetings andconferencessimultaneously * Coordinate logistics for webinars and online meetings, including setting up the webinar platform, and arranging transcription and a summary of the meeting as assigned * Oversee and facilitate all aspects of meeting planning: orderingsupplies,printing/packing/shippingof materials, registration, and marketingoutreach * Work with graphic designer on creating and editing conference programs, signage,andotherpromotionalor eventmaterials * Support virtual and in-person conference planningincluding coordination of pre-conference needs, allday of needs, and follow up needs for reporting and lessons learned, and ensuring that we meet all milestones and deadlines * Support on site event management: conference logistics (including audiovisual rental, signage, poster board rental, and material preparation), onsitestaffing,and post-event reporting * Draft communications plans and outreach activities * Create and edit documents, reports, and presentations, using Excel, PowerPoint and Word * Work closely with communications teams to coordinate and manage marketing and dissemination efforts * Support teams on complex programs - ensuring that all milestones and deadlines are met * Interact with clients and ICF Next senior staff, as well as other notable stakeholders Required Qualifications: * Able to obtain a public trust * Must be a U.S. citizen (contractual requirement) * Bachelor's degree * 7 years event marketing experience Preferred Qualifications: * Excellent writing skills * Strong organizational and interpersonal skills * Strong team orientation with a focus on collaboration * Energetic, self-starter and resourceful problem solver * High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities * Can-do attitude and willingness to jump in where needed * Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities * Ability to work independently under own direction and initiative * Experience interfacing with clients * Experience withGovDelivery,Zoom, WebEx, Eventbrite,Cvent, or similar a plus * Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) * Willing and able to travel up to20% annually (domestically) Working at ICF ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider, but we're not your typical consultants. Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is :
$72,402.00 - $123,084.00 DC Remote Office (DC99)
