Job Summary:

The Marketing Copyeditor will be responsible for reviewing documents and formatted marketing collateral for grammar, spelling, clarity, and style in support of the events, communications, digital marketing, and creative teams of Ice Miller’s Marketing & Business Development department. The employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and addressing time-sensitive and complex requests, while maintaining strict confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.

***For New York Applicants: Salary in the range of $70,000 - $95,000 depending on experience***

Essential Job Duties:

• Review marketing copy—including, but not limited to alerts, advertisements, press releases, website content, formatted collateral, invitations, procedures, and correspondence—for grammar, spelling, clarity, and style.
• Ensure that content aligns with the firm’s editorial, writing, and brand style guides and standards, including conducting regular quality control checks.
• Collaborate with writers and stakeholders to help improve the overall quality of marketing content and thought leadership.
• Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines.
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, humanities, or related field preferred
• At least two years of experience in public relations, communications, copyediting, and/or journalism
• Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, style, and spelling
• Familiarity with foremost accepted style guides (Chicago, AP) with ability to adapt to house style rules
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Advanced PowerPoint and Word skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good problem solving skills
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
• Must be able to perform all essential duties
