Job Summary:

The Accounting Data Coordinator will assist the data team with reviewing, maintaining, and updating accounting databases related to new business intake, vendors, and timekeepers. The employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive materials and maintain strict confidentiality due to the nature of the position.

Essential Job Duties:

• Assist with analyzing assigned stages of new business intake for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, including but not limited to adding, moving, and updating client and matter information while maintaining appropriate approvals and documentation relating to the actions taken
• Assist with opening new vendors for Account Payable
• Assist with the set up and maintain timekeepers
• Assist with the administration of administrative, personal, audit letter, third party, and non-client disbursement numbers
• Assist with the reviewing and tracking engagement letters as defined in established firm guidelines; includes review, researching and soliciting engagement letters when needed
• Assist with monitoring and following up on requests over 30 days in various stages and ensure movement of Intapp folders with specific attention to folders in the consult stages and escalation of stalled matters to supervisor
• Proactive in bringing issues to Management’s attention including possible solutions
• Respond to internal requests related to new and existing client and matter setup
• Understand technical aspects of client and matter, timekeeper, and vendor maintenance, and utilize systems to maintain information
• Use standardized data naming conventions and established consistent data definitions
• Assist with special projects as assigned
• Act as backup for the Accounting Data Analyst team

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor or associate degree in accounting field preferred
• Understanding of general accounting and data quality management principles
• Previous experience in the legal industry a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Must have problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to prioritize duties and use good judgment
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary to deal courteously and effectively with a diverse group of people, both on the phone and in person
• Continuous learner who seeks out additional responsibilities
• Must be able to perform all essential duties
