ICallidus is Hiring an IT Project Manager Near Lanham, MD

*The position is contigent upon award.*

iCallidus is seeking a dynamic, leader oriented, IT Project Manager to assist client with thorough and extensive project management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, coordinate, and host a Project Kick-Off Meeting as agreed upon.
  • Provide an agenda for review and approval by the COR and Government Program Manager (PM) prior to the meeting.
  • Facilitate introductions between Contractor and Government personnel.
  • Share and discuss project scope, resources, key milestones, timelines, technical, management, and security topics.
  • Document meeting discussions and capture action items and decisions.
  • Provide progress reports to include electronic weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports or as mutually agreed.
  • Include activities, key decisions, problems, corrective actions, personnel status, actions required by the client, and schedules.
  • Prepare and update a Project Management Plan Document support requirements in a Project Management Plan (PMP) for each Objective.
  • Describe management approach, milestones, tasks, subtasks, QCP activities, and risk management approach.
  • Include an overall Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with associated responsibilities and partnerships.
    Detail communication approach and procedures between Contractor and Government.
  • Update the PMP as project changes occur or at mutually agreed cadence.
  • Provide Quality Management by identifying and implementing a quality approach aligning with requirements.
  • Provide a Quality Management Plan (QMP) at Project Kick-off Meeting and update it as program processes change.
  • Describe application of appropriate methodology for accomplishing objectives.
  • Incorporate government's requirements and establish meeting cadence for discussion and approval of documents.
  • Provide knowledge transfer by facilitating knowledge transfer from client’s experts.
  • Appoint a knowledge transfer manager.
  • Develop a draft Knowledge Transfer Plan (KTP) from start date.
  • Present the KTP to the government for review and incorporate feedback.
  • Meet bi-weekly with the client to discuss progress, present updated MS Project Schedule, and address risks or concerns.

Qualifications:

The Project Manager shall be prepared at all times to present and discuss the status of contract activities, requirements, and issues. The Project Manager must immediately inform the client’s Project Manager and Points of Contact of any performance issues, cost or financial concerns and potential problems that, if unresolved, will adversely affect the contractor’s performance, schedule, or costs.

The Project Manager shall, at a minimum, have:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of six years of professional supervisory/management experience or a master’s degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of four years professional supervisory/management experience as a program manager. The degree must be in a business field (e.g., Program Management, Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, and Economics).
  • Relevant experience must be in program management (e.g., trend and forecast analysis, earned value management, cost benefit analysis, balanced scorecard, activity-based costing, life cycle cost estimating, activity-based budgeting, and gap analysis), personnel management, and project management (e.g., communications plan development, risk management, project management frameworks such as Agile, resource planning and management, conflict management and resolution).
  • Demonstrated ability/experience in successfully developing, implementing and

managing complex, high profile, multi-faceted projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and perform multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Project Management Professional Certification a plus.
