Time Type: Full time Department: 205 Collections Job Summary: The Collection Position is to collect on DDA accounts that have closed with a negative balance. The Collector must be an active listener, with the ability to persuade customers to pay and negotiate a maximum payment arrangement. The Collector will have accounts assigned to them and responsible to work those accounts. Job Description: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS The statements on this job description are intended to describe the general nature of level of work being performed by incumbents. They are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required by all incumbents. Notify customers of closed accounts by telephone Confer with customers and negotiate account resolution in accordance with collection policies Notate conversation with customer in collection application Advise customers of necessary actions and strategies on failure to pay Manage a collection route ( accounts assigned to collector) Making outbound calls and taking inbound calls Assisting branch associates on processing payments at Bank Other duties as assigned SKILLS Bilingual (English/Spanish) Active Listening Judgment and decision making Ability to negotiate Persuasion Customer Service oriented Effective communicator Ability to organize and prioritize Keyboard 30 wpm EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED IBC Bank was founded in 1966 to meet the needs of small businesses in Laredo, Texas.
