Summary

Join us for an incredible opportunity to be a part of our Culinary Team as our Culinary Supervisor! Our Supervisor will support our collection of Hyatt Hotels in downtown Seattle: Grand Hyatt Seattle, Hyatt at Olive 8 and Hyatt Regency Seattle.

Our Culinary Supervisor has basic understanding of the kitchen operation within the hotel. This leader is responsible for producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests’ needs in a timely manner. Our Culinary Supervisor has basic skills in department training and is capable of assuming department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef. Culinary Supervisors should have culinary understanding, basic communication, computer, and leadership skills. Our supervisors may assist with monitoring payroll costs and overtime and are responsible for supervising the hourly cooks.

The hourly rate for this position is $28.75 to $29.33. The starting rate for this position is $28.75/hour. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who have remained in the position for four years, which is $29.33.

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
  • Good communication skills
  • 3 years of previous line experience preferred
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to work multiple stations in the kitchen
  • Able to produce at a high volume level
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must have valid Food Handlers Card
