Huntington Woods Care & Rehabilitation Center is Hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Near Westlake, OH
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists the Director of Nursing in performing the responsibilities that contribute to the compliance of local, state and federal regulations.
- Communicates with the Director of Nursing regarding Nursing Department.
- Manages, supervises and evaluates through the performance improvement process for staff assigned.
- Develops, coaches and supports professional/non-professional staff assigned in performance of daily operational responsibilities.
- Oversees Restorative STNA, communicates with Therapy and Nursing for the transition of residents from Therapy to Nursing.
- Oversees the facilities special clinical programs as assigned
- Responsible to coordinate the completion of Minimum Data Set Plus and Interdisciplinary Care Plan. Assists to maintain quality documentation in the Nursing Dept.
- Implements corrective counseling, suspension and termination proceedings of nursing staff in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and Human Resources, as appropriate.
- Monitors Clinical Nursing Programs through the use of Quality Indicators.
- Participates in long-range planning to meet the evolving health care and organizational needs as requested.
- Participates in facility meetings as appropriate and requested.
- In the absence of the Director of Nursing, carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures of the organization and all federal and state laws regarding the privacy of protected health information.
- Manages Wound Care.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be a licensed RN in the State of Ohio
- Must have prior Long Term Care experience
- Must maintain current CPR certification
- Prefer wound care experience
- Prefer previous supervisory experience
