O'Neill Healthcare is Hiring a Director of Nursing Near Lakewood, OH

O’Neill Healthcare in Lakewood is currently looking for a Director of Nursing to join our team. Successful candidates must be a licensed RN in the state of Ohio with at least 2 years of previous long-term care and managerial experience. Excellent leadership and communication skills, high standards for quality of care, and knowledge of long-term care regulations are a must. This full-time position is a 5-star rated facility within a company that has been providing the highest quality of senior care on Cleveland's west side for 60 years.

DON (Director of Nursing) Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the nursing services staff, including scheduling and assignments
  • Ensure the nursing department functions efficiently and professionally at all times
  • Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
  • Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
  • Monitor and maintain documentation to comply with all federal and state standards
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records

DON (Director of Nursing) Qualifications:

  • Must have active RN Licenses in State of Ohio
  • Must have two years of experience in a geriatric setting
    • Two years of supervisory experience in a geriatric setting is strongly preferred.
  • Must have familiarity with Point Click Care
  • Must have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must enjoy working with the elderly
  • Must be able to project a positive attitude and promote the facility and its staff/residents in a positive manner.
