Inside Sales Representative
Job Type Full-time Description Job Responsibilities : Handling telephone calls and greeting walk-in customers regarding inquires, material products, pricing, availability, product uses, credit terms and delivery.
Main Duties and Responsibilities :
The essential authorities, responsibilities and functions consist of, but are not limited to the following : *
Customer contact
o Takes sales calls by phone, email or fax
o Recommends and sells material to meet customers needs
o Makes outgoing sales calls
o Solicits future customer contacts
o Prepares quotations
o Prepares Sales Orders
o Prepares Transfer Orders
o Prepares and maintains quote documentation with accurate pricing, credit terms and delivery schedule
Contacts vendors and / or branch locations for materials not in warehouse stock to meet customer needs
Prepares and submits sales orders for material using specific computer software programs
Coordinates with production staff and Branch Manager (as necessary) to establish accurate and timely delivery of customer orders, including date, location and method
Expedites sales orders and any related vendor purchase orders
Tracks quotes
Abides by all company policies and procedures
Prepares quote documentation, contracts and RFI responses for potential customers using specific computer software programs
Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required

4- Year degree preferred
2- Year degree acceptable with superior skills / experience
Vocational school diploma acceptable with superior skills / experience if steel industry based
3-5 years sales experience
Familiarity with the terminology and products of the steel service center industry a plus
