Van Trans is immediately hiring School Bus Drivers for our Bronx location.

What We Offer : FLEXIBILITY

Split-Shift- Mornings and Afternoons.

Use mid-day time as YOU need it.

Guaranteed 40 hours per week.

FREE Training to prepare for CDL Permit.

$750 bonus when you train with us and receive your CDL.

$2,500 Sign-on-Bonus for any hired fully licensed NY CDL Driver who has an A, B or C license with P & S endorsements.

$21.50 / hr for Van

$22.00 / hr for School Bus.

Job Summary

Operate school buses to transport authorized passengers to and from school programs safely and promptly following prescribed route(s).

Assess traffic and road conditions and monitor student behavior and other factors as necessary.

Follow all state and federal traffic laws while operating a vehicle. Adhere to DOT and state safety and district requirements and standards while operating a yellow school bus.

Maintain proper CDL and state school bus certifications, including adhering to state and federal guidelines regarding criminal, medical, drug test, and driving records.

Assist passengers onto and off the vehicle when necessary.

Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks as required by company standards and state guidelines.

Job Requirements Drivers must be at least 21 with 1 year driving experience

NYS CDL A, B with P & S endorsements

Must have a driver’s license to enter CDL permit training (we train you!)

Ability to pass a drug test and background check

About the Company Van Trans a subsidiary of WE Transport. WE Transport has been a respected Long Island school bus operator since 1959.

During the past five decades, we have provided our Nassau and Suffolk customers and more recently Connecticut, Westchester, and New York City customers with transportation for home-to-school, parochial, private, special needs riders, and pre-school children.
