Individuals interested in pursuing a career in early childhood or elementary school education.

Individuals pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Ed

The salary is $28,510/year and it includes full NYC health benefits and 6 credits/semester tuition waiver at any CUNY institute.

Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:

· Actively participates in everyday routines (arrival, dismissal, lunch/recess)

· Teaches lessons to whole class, group or one-on-one based on classroom needs

· Supports head teacher

· Assists with classroom management and transitions

· Attends faculty meetings and professional development days

· Has regular meetings with head teacher

· Supervises during field trips

· Corrects and checks homework

· Instructs individual students and/or small groups

· Helps with maintenance and preparation of classroom

· Assists with bulletin boards/job chart/schedule

· Helps prepare materials needed for lessons

· Attends parent conferences if requested by head teacher

· If requested, assists with report and/or record cards

· Meets individually with assistant principal at least once a month

· Attends assistant teacher meetings
