Job Summary:

The PR Associate is a dynamic and strategic role designed for a highly motivated individual who excels in storytelling, networking, and building relationships with media and community stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone who is outgoing, persuasive, and passionate about making a difference. Reporting directly to the CEO, the PR Associate will spearhead all public relations activities, focusing on elevating Human-I-T's profile among top publishing organizations and sharing our story with a national audience. This role is about creating opportunities for visibility, fostering partnerships, and engaging with groups and individuals who can help amplify our mission.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy that aligns with Human-I-T's mission and goals.

• Establish and nurture relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers across top publishing platforms to secure coverage and feature stories.

• Craft compelling press releases, pitches, and storytelling materials that resonate with national audiences and highlight Human-I-T's impact.

• Coordinate with the CEO to manage all public relations activities, ensuring consistent messaging and brand positioning.

• Organize and manage press events, interviews, and speaking engagements for the CEO and other key spokespeople.

• Monitor media coverage and report on PR campaign results, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize effectiveness.

• Serve as a spokesperson and representative for Human-I-T at events, conferences, and media opportunities.

• Collaborate with internal teams to identify newsworthy stories and achievements within the organization.

• Engage with various groups and individuals, including nonprofit partners, corporate sponsors, and community leaders, to expand Human-I-T's network and visibility.

• 5 years experience in PR, Communications, or related field is required

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences.

• Creative and strategic thinker with a knack for storytelling and presenting complex ideas in an accessible and compelling manner.

• Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
