At Hudson Pacific Properties, we provide best-in-class office space to the biggest names in tech and media (Netflix, Google, Amazon), and we're seeking a Portfolio Management Analyst working from HPP's office in either San Francisco or Los Angeles to assist the Portfolio Management team with company-wide performance evaluation, key project execution, investment analyses, and monthly and quarterly deliverables.
The Portfolio Management team at HPP plays a central and critical role in the overall success of the company, responsible for the oversight of each asset throughout its lifecycle with HPP. Maintaining and creating portfolio value requires constant collaboration throughout the organization by this team, primarily with the Accounting, Construction, Engineering, Finance, Investments, Leasing, and Legal teams.
Within this fast-paced and collaborative environment, the Portfolio Management Analyst will report to the Manager, Portfolio Management and work closely with various individuals across the organization, gaining cross-functional experience and executive-level exposure.
The successful candidate will contribute on multiple levels: able to create and enhance a variety of complex financial analyses, experienced in creating business cases, decision rationale, performance monitoring, and comfortable understanding and summarizing pertinent details in commercial contracts. All are delivered to a diverse set of internal and external executive stakeholders.
What You'll Do
  • Develop and underwrite business cases to evaluate significant capital investment and repositioning of high-profile assets across the portfolio. Analyze actual investment spend and corresponding asset metrics to quantify investment performance.
  • Produce ongoing reporting requirements of the Portfolio Management department, inclusive of monthly portfolio performance (i.e., financial variance, leasing, capital investment), ground lease projections, and monthly rent collection analyses.
  • Work directly with the Manager, Portfolio Management, to design, develop, and implement process improvements to drive enhanced efficiencies and portfolio performance visibility.
  • Support the company-wide operating and capital budget process, including creating portfolio-level variance analyses and executive presentations.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and field teams to assist with financial variance analyses at property and portfolio levels.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the corporate and regional teams on ad hoc analyses and presentations, which requires frequent interaction with the Accounting, Construction, Engineering, Finance, Investments, Leasing, and Legal teams.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree required, with a major in a technical field (Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, etc.) preferred.
  • Applicable financial services experience is required, with a strong preference for specific experience in commercial real estate.
  • Must have a demonstrated proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (all advanced level), with working knowledge of Argus and Yardi preferred.
  • Possess superior attention to detail.
  • Be a highly motivated individual with superb verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of building strong working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable in a high-visibility, dynamic work environment.
  • Able to effectively prioritize competing deliverables.
Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $97,000.00 Annually USD (subject to relevant experience)
