Job Summary:
Hudson Milestones is searching for a reliable and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) of Residential Services to work with and support adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. This position requires a compassionate direct care professional as you will be assisting adults with day-to-day living, client care, safety, and other tasks that will help strengthen life skills. Work Location: - North Bergen, NJ

Responsibilities:
- Assisting clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, assistance with bathroom use, teeth brushing, etc.
- Daily log reporting and documentation.
- Housekeeping: laundry, cleaning, sanitizing, etc.
- Providing companionship to clients.
- Van driving for errands, appointments, or social events.
- Administration of client medications.
- Client safety and support.
- Incident documentation and follow up.
- Assisting with food shopping and meal preparation.
- Attending medical appointments and advocating on behalf of the client.
- Safety and upkeep of residential group home properties.
- Community Experience
Skills/Education:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft word and Excel.
- Professional disposition.
- CPR Certification a plus.
Requirements:
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
- Twenty-one years of age or older.
- Negative i3 Screen (drug test).
- Pre-placement physical and fingerprinting.
- Online training via the College of Direct Support (provided by Hudson Milestones).
- Must be willing to work throughout the Hudson County Area.
- Experience and flexibility a must as hours vary for the needs of the Program.
