Position Title: Quality Control Technician

Compensation:  Starting at $20.00/hour commensurate with experience

Employment Type: Hourly Full-time

Position Summary:

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring our products meet quality and efficiency standards set by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and record quality tests to meet product acceptable Quality Standards.
  • Produce and prepare appropriate documents and labels needed for Quality/Production.
  • Make certain all production and manufacturing lines perform efficiently and following all GMP Regulations.
  • Follow all Company Quality policies, SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards and SOP’s.
    • Participate in food safety training.
    • Report events that could impact the safety of our food products.
    • Be familiar with and adhere to SQF requirements for food safety.
  • Coordinate with Quality Manager and line operators to facilitate communication between departments.
  • Legibly Complete all quality forms, documents and pictures to be filed and uploaded in appropriate locations.
  • Advise ways of improving the manufacturing process to ensure higher quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Food Safety, GMP’s, GLP or HACCP Completed Courses or Training.
  • Previous Quality Control / Quality Inspection experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Operation, Maintenance and Calibration of test equipment’s (pH, TDS, Density Meter, ATP Testing Instrument, Temperature Meters).
  • Experience with Good Documentation Practices (GDP’s).
  • Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions within the scope of the position.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain strict customer and corporate confidentiality.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly stand, walk, use hands to fingers, lift, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch or crawl.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
  • Exert up to 50 lbs. of force when moving boxes and other goods.
  • Demonstrate good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computers, calculators and various machines.
  •  Wear personal protective equipment correctly during the day as needed.
  • Work in a variety of environments both in a shop or outside in heat or cold temperatures.
  • Communicate with others both verbally and written.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in a fast-paced, high volume, manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to tolerate frequent interruptions from customers, staff, and others.
  • Must be able to tolerate temperature changes in the work environment.
  • Must be able to work in a noisy environment (with proper PPE).
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
