Structural Steel Painter Position:

A Structural Steel Painter is responsible for painting the parts for each job efficiently and correctly with minimal errors.

Structural Steel Painter Duties and Responsibilities

• Painters cannot paint anything without a respirator.
• Properly clean and prep all paint areas
• All paint specs must be met. Painters are to check for defects and make corrections.
• Painters must know the millage and how to use wet gauge mill card. That will be provided
• Angles should be painted- inside first.
• Plates should be painted- with the piece mark down first/ unless checkered plate
• Painters must fill out paint room check off sheet daily and turn into supervisor
• Waste drums must have a hazard waste label and be available to consume daily waste
• When waste drums are full they must be taken down and replaced with a empty drum. The full drum must then be taken out to the hazard waste room with that days date put on it.
• Monitor all materials used and report shortage to supervisor to order.(ex. Paint suits, rollers, chip brushes etc.)
• And other duties as assigned

Structural Steel Painter Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Structural Steel Painter
• High school diploma.
• Knowledge of structural steel painting
• Team player

Structural Steel Painter Pay:

• $20/hour and up, depending on experience
