Summary About the Position : This position is located with the US Army Personnel Operations Group G-1, Personnel Suitability Division, Child Services Suitability Cell, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate suitability, fitness, and credentialing adjudication for the total Army workforce.
Develop and maintain close liaison and coordination with all participating agencies / organizations involved in suitability, fitness, and credentialing background investigations / checks.
Make recommendations on how many resources should be allocated to projects when man-years and significant budgetary considerations are involved.
Provide oversight of all facets of suitability, fitness and credentialing adjudication functions that fall under the purview of the Army.
Observe workers' performance and periodically evaluates employee performance, and / or reviews evaluations made by subordinate supervisors.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program) and must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
