HOYA Vision Care is Hiring a Marketing - Business Analyst Near Lewisville, TX

Job Title: Business Analyst, MarketingReports To: Senior Vice President, Marketing, dotted line to Dir FP&AFLSA Status: Exempt Position Objective:This position is responsible for providing with detailed analysis of products and marketing programs, quantitative market overviews, highlighting industry trends & competitive activity, and proper product forecasting for all channels that support understanding and decision-making in key projects and initiatives. Not Exclusive The duties outlined in this document are not limited to what is presented and are not exclusive. You may be asked from time to time to perform additional duties by your supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Analyzes and communicates results on products and key marketing programs to stakeholders, supporting the business in making informed decisions · Reviews monthly product reporting and quarterly forecasts for accuracy and reportsfindings to key stakeholders. · Participate and lead projects and initiatives related to marketing and market understanding · Provides insights about product categories and opportunities and works with ChannelMarketing and the commercial teams on informed opportunities and risks · Gathers and analyzes market intelligence information, including compiling large,complex amounts of market data into a comprehensive and understandable format · Works collaboratively with finance, sales management, marketing, operations, andsupply chains to ensure proper commercial forecasting and streamline/improve productreporting process. · Supports organizational alignment of KPIs by creating or providing input on a dataglossary to ensure alignment across all departments for key reporting needs · Become a Power BI expert and perform ad-hoc reporting as needed Competencies Toperform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: · Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.· Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs workflows and procedures.· Collaboration – Understands the interdependency of internal departments (sales, marketing, finance, customer service, accounting) as it relates to sales execution and has strong ability to collaborate and communicate accordingly. · Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions; Displays orientation to profitability; Demonstrates knowledge ofmarket and competition; Aligns work with strategic goals.· Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reactswell under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless oftheir status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows throughon commitments.· Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations.· Interpersonal Skills - Maintains confidentiality.· Quality Management - Looks for ways to improve and promotequality; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.· Diversity - Promotes a harassment-free environment.· Ethics - Treats people with respect; Keeps commitments; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values.· Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures; Supports organization's goals and values.· Judgment - Displays willingness to make timely decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process.· Motivation - Sets and achieves challenging goals; Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles; Measures self against standard of excellence; Takes calculated risks to accomplish goals.· Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; Plans for additional resources; Sets goals and objectives; Organizes or schedules other people and their tasks; Develops realistic action plans.· Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Determinesappropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions.· Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.· Dependability - Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals. · Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essentialduty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Required Skill Set Strong data analytical skills, experience with Power BI strongly preferred. Demonstratedcomputer skills especially Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & Word) Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration or finance strongly preferred; 3-5 yearsmarket analyst experience. Optical or consumer medical device sales experience is desirable; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Has worked in partnership with a commercial team and/or finance where cross functional collaboration is a part of your everyday work. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professionaljournals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, businesscorrespondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions fromgroups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or moveup to 25 pounds. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Thenoise level in the work environment is usually low. Must be willing to be on-site part time at HOYA Corporate Headquarters or willing to travel as needed to the corporate office.
