POSITION TITLE: Epicor Business Analyst

POSITION REPORTS TO: Senior Manager of IT

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Epicor Business Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Epicor ERP system within the organization. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of Epicor functionalities, coupled with hands-on expertise in customization, enhancement, and problem-solving. The primary focus is on optimizing the Epicor ERP platform to align with business needs, enhancing its efficiency, and ensuring seamless operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Serve as the primary Epicor subject matter expert, responsible for system development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the Epicor ERP framework.
3. Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot Epicor ERP functionalities to optimize system performance and meet business needs.
4. Identify opportunities for system improvements, including patchwork, break-fix solutions, and customizations that align with business objectives.
5. Perform coding and scripting as necessary for system customizations, leveraging Epicor tools and associated technologies.
6. Conduct system testing, debugging, and quality assurance to ensure the stability and reliability of the Epicor ERP environment.
7. Provide technical guidance and support to end-users, assisting in issue resolution and training as needed.
8. Document system configurations, customizations, and processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position does not have direct reports.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Epicor Business Analyst or in a similar role, specializing in Epicor ERP system development and implementation, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge and expertise in Epicor ERP, including development, basic enhancements, and customization methodologies.
• Proficiency in coding, scripting, and customizations within the Epicor framework.
• Strong understanding of on-premises SQL databases and experience with SQL development and customization.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into technical solutions within the Epicor environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving system issues.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with various teams and leaders, convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and provide training and support.
• Epicor certifications or relevant training in Epicor ERP modules preferred.
• Experience with version control systems and best practices for Epicor development preferred.
• Familiarity with additional programming languages or tools relevant to Epicor customization and integration preferred.

• Varying work schedules to meet client demand is sometimes required.

• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard.
• Ability to read a variety of materials.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to carry and lift materials up to 25 lbs.
