Description Our busy hotel is looking for an energetic accounting manager with excellent attention to detail who can focus on the bottom line to keep our hotel profitable. We require a financial expert who can monitor internal control systems and make necessary changes to help increase revenue. You'll be in charge of reconciling general ledger accounts, processing payroll, monthly forecasting, and creating an annual budget. Our ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of team management experience, preferably in hospitality, as well as a finance degree. Responsibilities •Assist with the compilation and preparation of the financial statement, periodic forecasts, and annual budget to provide support to the Accounting Department. •Review the daily list of revenue activity to ensure accountability of activity, adjustments, tax liability, and general ledger coding and posting monthly into the general ledger. •Be responsible for the preparation of accounts receivable invoicing and tracking/maintaining of accounts receivables. •Be responsible for the preparation of bi-weekly payroll, and time-off accrual support; assist with the setup/ tracking of time-off accruals, verify all LOAs are paid time-off correctly, and assist with maintenance/ communication of the accruals via the payroll system. •Performs other duties as assigned by management. •Will be handled with confidentiality, sensitivity, and knowledge. •Analyze all statements, balance sheets, income, and expense accounts to guarantee accuracy and recommend adjustments that would increase profitability •Track and record all accounts receivable accurately, while also generating and managing accounts payable invoicing •Assess a list of daily revenue activity to ensure accountability, balance general ledger accounts, and fix any discrepancies or problematic accounts •Conduct monthly payroll audits and issue paychecks •Oversee the daily accounting operations by developing monthly projections and yearly budgets Qualifications •Prior hotel accounting experience •Strong attention to details •QNQ and M3 experience preferred but not required •Candidates must have at least 3 years of previous work in hospitality, preferably in a full-service hotel •Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software, such as Quickbooks •Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) •Must have a high school diploma or GED; highly prefer a degree in finance or related field •Superior customer service skills, math skills, relationship skills, and communication skills are preferred
