houstonforensicscience is Hiring a Forensic Quality Director Near Houston, TX

Job Description:

The Quality Director will plan, direct, and coordinate the quality assurance, quality control and accreditation programs and practices of the Houston Forensic Science Center. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate processes to receive and maintain accreditation for the lab, partnering with appropriate managers and directors within the various disciplines and sections.
  • Formulate and implement quality control and quality assurance policies, ensuring appropriate monitoring efforts to achieve desired quality and production results.
  • Manage professional personnel, supervise work assignments, and job performance in the Quality Division, and provide training, employee development and support.
  • Develop and/or revise standard operating procedures, goals and objectives, techniques, policies, and reports. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly operational reports for the assigned program(s) are prepared and disseminated as needed.
  • Coordinate the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the budget and expenditures of the Quality Division.
  • Partner with the CEO, COO, and appropriate staff members in the development and/or revision of standard operating procedures, goals and objectives, techniques, policies, and reports.
