SUMMARY
Performs various video production related duties with emphasis on writing, producing, and planning. Oversees production shoots as well as planning & execution of live events including many elements of the Rodeos stadium presentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, live event production for the Rodeo stadium presentation as well as year-round production support.
Duties include the following:
Stadium Presentation elements
Oversee execution of live and pre-recorded elements including national anthem, pledge of allegiance guests, invocations and others as needed (does not include concert acts).
Preparation of scripts, rundowns, shot lists and other documents related to the live production process.
Participating in planning and execution of special/theme day activities and/or activations as well as in-stadium video elements including concept development, script writing and all production elements
Participating in planning and execution of live stadium sponsor fulfillment presentations and activations
Coordinate with stadium presentation show caller in planning prior to Showtime and daily during Showtime to ensure all presentation elements are properly addressed.
Oversee and work with freelance stadium producers and other related personnel (control room producer, stadium audio personnel etc.) to ensure all live elements and talent are properly coordinated.
Year-Round production
Production of HLSR projects, for promotional, informational, educational, in-show and internal use. Projects include, but are not limited to television commercials, interviews, digital/social video collaborations and special recognitions/presentations.
Participating in the broadcast team creative process, and implementation of video & entertainment productions.
Participating in planning and execution of marketing campaign and annual events outside of Showtime.
Supervising and directing outside contractors and vendors such as freelance editors, audio personnel, voice talents, camera operators, graphics personnel and video engineers.
Tracking, handling, and maintaining records of the elements, costs, and time schedules of multiple projects.
Obtaining footage from various outside sources including sponsor companies and agencies, artist labels, stock footage companies, television stations, and government agencies (NASA, Armed Forces Network etc.)
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associate degree or bachelors degree from a two or four-year College or technical school in related fields and/or 6 years of video & live production experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, members, volunteers or employees of organization, and groups of video professionals in a production crew setting. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Bilingual in Spanish is also a plus.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) products.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of the video production process. Knowledge of non-linear editing techniques. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and / or Adobe After Effects a plus. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and be comfortable working in different roles. Flexibility to working days, nights, and weekends. Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality in both a supervised and unsupervised environment. Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

The employee may be required to sit, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. During the Show, the employee may be required to frequently walk to various places on the grounds. The employee may be required to lift and/or move 15 or more pounds. Extended work hours required, especially during peak periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work setting is a busy, fast-paced, marketing and event environment, with strict and multiple deadlines. Must be able to perform under tight deadlines and work nights and weekends, including Sundays. Extended work hours as necessary; duties and time demands expand substantially during Showtime and the weeks leading up to Showtime.
