Houston Community College is Hiring a Research Assistant (Part-time) Near Houston, TX

SUMMARY
Provides research and data collection support for the assign area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Conduct, analyze, and report on assessment tools as required.
  • Conduct, analyze, and report on employer, student, and other completed surveys.
  • Assist in the design and statistical analysis of HCCS Pilot Surveys.
  • Aid in the development and training of department personnel.
  • Test departmental computer applications before implementation.
  • Compile and maintain departmental filing system.
  • Assist with clerical duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE
1 year work-related experience required.
2 years preferred.
Training in desktop publishing, technical communication, technical writing, or computer science preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS
General Office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
