Housing Authority of the City of Reno is Hiring a Development Clerk Near Reno, NV

DEVELOPMENT CLERK 

The Reno Housing Authority is seeking a detailed, professional, and positive candidate to join our Development Department as a Development Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that thrives in a fast-paced environment, and desires to make a difference in our community every day! As the Development Clerk you would support the department in the planning and implementation of affordable housing development and rehabilitation activities.

Examples of some of the positions essential duties are:

  • Prepares and processes various records and reports such as purchases orders, invoices, payment applications, certified payroll, labor interviews, work orders, draw requests, etc.
  • Provides clerical support to Project Coordinator and Project Manager related to labor compliance, procurement, development, and grant management.
  • Conduct labor compliance interviews and review contractor pay requests and certified payroll documents for accuracy.
  • Performs receptionist duties by answering the telephone, managing shared email inboxes, addressing enquiries, referring calls to Housing Authority staff, and providing general information regarding Housing Authority policies and procedures as required.

WHAT IS NEEDED?

The minimum qualifications needed for this position are: 

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of increasingly responsible clerical support experience in a construction, planning, engineering or public administration environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in Spanish is highly desirable. 
  • A valid drivers license in good standing 
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by Human Resources.
