NY family in the Carnegie Hill neighborhood is looking to hire a kind and loving Nanny/Housekeeper who drives. Someone who has a lot of positive energy, loves school aged children, is social enough to meet other Nanny’s and arrange playdates, and other activities for children. Someone who is very good with time management and overall executive functioning skills!
While the children are in school, the daily requirements include general housekeeping, laundry, food/meal prep, etc. After school help includes pick up (usually only for one child), and any afterschool activities. Dinner around 5:30pm. Dinner clean up, kitchen and dining room clean up, and also engage with children with meaningful, activity and play or homework assignments until end of day.
The family, who teaches their children to be respectful and kind, is looking for someone who is smart, honest, detail oriented, and communicative (ask questions or makes helpful suggestions).

Requested Duration: Long term placement (more than 5 years)

About the Family

Adults: 2
Children: 9 and 5 year old next year in kindergarten 8 am to 3pm
Current Staff: Deep Cleaner comes once a week

Position Responsibilities

• Childcare: Yes, when not in school
• Housekeeping: Shared Housekeeping Required
• Cooking: Help Start/Prep for Dinner, Childrens Meals Only
• Laundry: Children Laundry Only
• Travel: Domestic Travel Required, Summer (mid-June through Labor Day) the family is in Long Island and children are in day camp. A few days per week in Long Island. The other days, available to help maintain the apartment in the city.

Position Requirements

• Work Hours: 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM, 35 hours, guaranteed, potential for more hours. Flexible: on occasion, may ask to adjust schedule if child/children do not have school on a particular day.
• Driving: Required
• Languages: Bilingual, English and Spansih
• Swim: Must
• CPR Certified
• Experience: Years of Experience
• References: Minimum of 2 References
• Background: Pass stringent background checks and drug testing upon offer of hire

Position Compensation

• Salary: $30.-$33. DOE, for the right fit, will consider increase after 6 months.
• Living Accommodations: Live Out in City, In summer flexible for 2 days in Bridgehampton
• Vacation: 2 weeks vacation, 6 Federal holidays
