PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Housby is looking for an experienced and driven parts minded individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of New Parts for Housby Mack and Housby Heavy Equipment for the central location. This individual will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all Parts related activities to ensure the overall growth and profit objectives are being met.

EXPECTATIONS:

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities of the Parts Department.
• Develop and promote cross training between parts personnel for both Housby Mack and Housby Heavy Equipment.
• Ensure that key metrics are being met, including but not limited to: parts turns, sales, gross margins, and expenses.
• Work with the Parts Inventory Controller to ensure that inventory levels are appropriate based on sales and turns.
• Utilize MAPP and work with Outside Parts Sales to increase overall sales.
• Conduct bi-weekly team meetings with all Parts personnel.
• Conduct annual inventory and quarterly cycle counts.
• Attend OEM job specific training and meetings to stay up to date on latest trends and changes within the industry.
• Maintain appropriate communication within and between all departments.
• Stay current with activities of competition, market conditions. and department operation.
• Communicate with Leadership Team regarding objectives and goals.
• Train and grow Parts Department personnel.
• Develop and maintain policies and practices to ensure positive customer relations.
• Other projects/tasks as assigned.
• Maintain a professional image at all times.
• Follow all Company safety rules and safety policies.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• At least 5 years of previous management experience.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of previous parts experience, preferably in a heavy-duty truck or construction role.
• Knowledge of all phases of a Parts Department.
• Possess a positive, and team-driven demeanor.
• Excellent management and communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to working with employees, as well as other departments, for the overall success of the company.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field is preferred.
