Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our team. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious pastries and desserts with fine plating. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and creativity in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Quality must be near Michelin restaurant level.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, including cakes, ice creams, various desserts, cookies, pies, and breads

- Decorate pastries using various techniques, such as piping, glazing, and icing

- Follow recipes and ensure accurate measurements of ingredients

- Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure optimal results

- Maintain inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies

- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate pastry orders with the overall menu

- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times

- Assist in the packaging and presentation of pastries for display or delivery

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a restaurant or bakery setting

- Knowledge of pastry techniques, including dough preparation, baking, and decorating

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately

- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

- Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required
