Hornig Companies seeks a full-time dedicated and enthusiastic Property Manager to manage two buildings in iconic Lowry Hill, blocks from Lake of the Isles.. The portfolio consists of properties that operate under market rate and Section 42 Tax Credit programs, with one classified as a senior/disability designated site.

What are some of the things I would do?

  • Initiate and manage all core business processes, including leasing, turns, client relations, marketing, maintenance, vendor relations, selection, recruitment, and team development.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and communication to our residents and new applicants
  • Build relationships and maintain effective communication with staff and vendors
  • Oversee, train and lead site staff - Maintenance and caretakers.
  • Coordinate the move-in/move-out process
  • Manage renewals and retention
  • Maintain timely communication with staff and vendors
  • Collect & deposit rents as well as follow up on delinquency
  • Prepare capital plans for the properties and execute approved projects
  • Communicate with residents regarding repairs and other matters in a caring, compassionate manner that upholds Hornig Companies’ customer service reputation as well as Fair Housing guidelines
  • Take a hands-on approach to accomplish objectives as well as to facilitate the successful performance of others.

What should I bring to the team?

  • Three to five years of residential property management experience and supervisory experience
  • Strong work ethic and desire to assist our residents in finding and maintaining a great place to live
  • High level of organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Detail orientation, attention to accuracy and ability to read ledgers and financial statements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office. AppFolio software experience preferred
