Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000 Annually

City Experiences is seeking a Food and Beverage Manager for our operation in San Diego, CA.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

Manage the daily operations of the Food and Beverage department. Focus on preparing all vessels for daily activities, ensuring the quality of guest service and crew readiness. Assist ADFB with crew development, beverage program, scheduling, and other
administrative tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily harbor tour order. Check in with crew for any additional needs
  • Walkthrough of every vessel, ensuring “show-ready” condition and all equipment functioning properly
  • Complete MOD checklists, including stocking of boats with product and setups with houseman team
  • Support management for all Public Cruise events and Charters on all vessels as the business dictates
  • Directly manage on board crew during special events and as needed
  • Interact with and support the Sales team to maximize revenue stream and fulfill guest expectations.
  • Monitor regular cleaning and organization of all bars and storage areas
  • Directly supervise the Event Management staff, offering proactive communication and supportive feedback, with the goal of teamwork, crew development, and guest service as the top priorities.
  • Assist and support the hiring of F&B crew, as well as training to the City Experiences standard.
  • Ensure weekly and quarterly inventories are completed accurately, timely, and efficiently, using Net Chef procedures.
  • Ensure all purchases are approved by ADFB
  • Assist with beverage program development, purchasing, training, and implementation.
  • Assist the ADFB for scheduling as needed
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures are being adhered to by all crew
  • Stay current on innovative industry trends within the hospitality industry.
  • Adhere to safe and sanitary handling of all food & beverage products
  • Correct any employee behaviors that are not supportive to the City Experiences Brand.
  • Document all staff/team interactions and provide counseling when necessary with HR guidance.
  • Support the onboard Operations team with all safety requirements.
  • Additional duties assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel., Outlook, and Powerpoint
  • Catering/Restaurant background
  • Purchasing and costing
  • Previous Management experience
  • Computer skills
  • Culinary/Hospitality/Management training preferred
  • Familiar with ABC laws and practices
  • Food and wine knowledge with emphasis on fine dining preferred
  • Hands on Manager
  • TIPS Certified
  • Sanitation Certified
  • TWIC & MMC as Required
  • Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to and including 60 lbs.
