Classification: Hourly, non-exempt
Reports to: Training Manager
Location: Pendleton with travel to Hermiston and Milton-Freewater (in-person, not remote)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-4PM
Hours may vary slightly for training and program needs. Limited weekends or evening assignments.
Wage Scale: $20-$26 per hour, D.O.E.
Objective
Horizon Project is a non-profit organization that provides support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Umatilla Count, Oregon. The Training Specialist will support the regulatory and developmental training needs of our new and existing staff members. This includes assisting with bi-weekly Orientation classes, tracking and generating reports for training expiration/renewal dates, maintaining accurate training files, data entry, and other training and development assignments as needed. This role is integral in ensuring the company has accurate and organized records to stay in compliance with Oregon State licensing rules.

Work Schedule
The normal work schedule may vary due to residential requirements of 24-hour service provision; exact schedules are assigned by management. It is the attendance standard of the employer that all employees be present and on time each shift that they are scheduled to work. Time off may be approved if allowed by applicable policies covering illness, injury, or other personal emergency.

Work Environment
This is primarily an office job; however, it will involve interaction with intellectually and/or developmentally disabled individuals which can result in physical contact and/or verbal exchanges. It is important to travel to programs and to meet with individuals where they are most likely to interact with staff, family, and others, at times after normal office hours.
