Position Summary
Working under the supervision of the Director of Finance and Accounting and Senior Director of Grants Administration, the Grants Management Specialist aids in cultivating a team-oriented work environment aligned with the long-range plan, mission, vision, and values of Hope the Mission (HTM). A successful Grants Management Specialist is analytical, has perseverance, strong attention to detail, and superior problem-solving and organizational skills .
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Grants Management Specialist will provide post-award fund and grant management. This will involve monitoring and managing contracts, grants, and income accounts from multiple funding sources. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing budgets for grants, preparing and monitoring monthly ledger analyses and reports for funds, reconciling discrepancies, preparing various agency financial reports, and coordinating the closing of grants. You will use your expertise in preparing budgets to provide budget projections for leadership. This team member should have a strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and be able to maintain agency, grant, and capital project accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience in a similar position for 3 years; non-profit finance preferred. A minimum of 5 years and experience in non-profit accounting.

Use a desktop and/or laptop computer; copy, postage and scanner machines. Complete all required forms in personal writing.
