DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee all Wednesday night activities for students at your campus
Foster a creative, fun, safe and engaging environment for students to attend on Wednesday nights at Hope.
Volunteer & parent communication
Worship experience
In Service communication
Organize service programming
Pre & post service environment
Grow the Volunteer Team - Recruit, train, and develop adult volunteers to grow spiritually and learn effective ways to minister to students.
Onboarding new volunteers
Evaluate and coach volunteers
Care for volunteers
Take the lead on weekend middle school groups during each service to disciple middle schoolers to better understand God’s Word.
Evaluate Services & Processes
School Ministry - Increase the campus's presence in area schools by partnering with FCAs, sports teams, teachers, principals, etc.
Work with the Hope Kidz team to make the 5/6th-grade transition time smooth and clear.
Encourage students to attend Connect Track and subsequently serve in other ministries (i.e. kids ministry, production, etc)
Connect with students, their parents, and volunteers during weekend services, at school events, and as needed to care for the families of our community.
Serve in other departments such as children’s ministry, grow, and connections (as needed).
Represent Hope Students in Connect Track.
Serve as lead communicator to students on Wednesday nights at your campus. (Speaking 60-75% of the year on Wednesdays)
Work with other Campus Student Pastors as well as the Central Student team to direct and enlarge summer youth camps, retreats, missions trips, and other events
Work with your campus staff and Campus Pastor in unity, clear communication, and with a servant’s heart
Work under the leadership of the Lead Student Pastor to implement Hope’s mission and culture for student ministry on your campus
Attend and serve at all weekend gatherings (unless otherwise directed) at your campus
Be the primary leader, developer, and manager of student ministry staff at your campus
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
Caring for the individual is more than caring about the size of a crowd.
Have experience leading a student ministry of 100 students or more.
Experience with recruiting, training, and leading students through small group leaders.
Able to work through our current systems through Planning Center Online.
Is a Christ-follower with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Savior.
Is a team player and is driven to serve others.
Is hard working, teachable, fun-loving, dedicated, and loyal.
Possesses and applies basic knowledge of MAC applications, including but not limited to; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
Ability to react appropriately under pressure, apply good judgment, and use sound decision-making & problem-solving skills in a deadline-driven environment.
Possesses strong organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet expected deadlines.
Can prioritize and handle multiple tasks with an orientation toward accomplishment.
Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) with various individuals throughout the church.
Ability to handle confidential matters discretely and efficiently.
Flexible in work schedule; i.e. camps, trips, and weekend events.
Plan, organize, and execute large events.
Ability to organize event task lists and the ability to delegate tasks to others.

The person who fills this role will be working with every member of the Hope Students Team, as well as other support teams and outside vendors and guests. This person should reflect the culture statements of Hope Fellowship.
