About Hope Christian School
Our mission is to pray for, equip, and send Christ-centered, passionate leaders to change the world.
We are a non-denominational, coeducational Christ-centered school in NE Albuquerque, serving families of children from preschool to high school. Since its founding in 1976, Hope Christian School has prayed for, equipped, and sent nearly 3,000 graduates to change the world. Annually, Hope Christian School educates approximately 1,200 students from Preschool through 12th grade. It is our privilege, honor, and responsibility to prepare these students to be tomorrow's leaders.
We believe that all truth is God's truth. So God is not confined to Bible class, or weekly chapel. Rather all curricula is from a Biblical worldview, taught by faculty who love the Lord, in programs designed to educate the whole student, and with an unwavering commitment to follow God's will for Hope Christian School.
Job Summary: The IT Support Technician serves as the first line of response to requests for various hardware, software, peripheral, and networking technical assistance. This position will troubleshoot and solve routine issues, build, and manage workstations and equipment and support end-users with the highest level of customer satisfaction. Also support the deployment of software updates and changes.
Essential Functions:
Provide personal computer (PC) workstation support to the computer user population. Responsible for the installation and implementation of the PC systems.
Assume responsibility for the installation and correction of hardware and software problems with the direction of the IT Coordinator.
Participates in the HCS hardware and software standardization efforts as appropriate and assigned.
Supports the IT coordinator in finding suitable resolutions to hardware and software problems.
Resolve basic problems while referring more complex problems to IT Coordinator or external resources.
Troubleshoot to resolve system related problems, coordinate with vendors and IT Coordinator regarding user support and problem resolution. Keep documentation of all issues.
Field support to all school campuses to include office support staff on the PC setup or resolving user issues.
Setup staff with company issued devices.

Qualifications:
Reflect the purpose of the school, which is to honor Christ.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent experience required.
Thorough understanding of computer software and hardware, including desktop computers, laptops, network devices, and peripherals.
Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software related computer problems.
2-3 years knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems
Experience with deprovisioning of computers, and Chromebooks.
Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, Microsoft Office, G Suite). RenWeb Family Portal preferred.
CompTIA A or CompTIA Network certification, preferred.
