Job description:
Responsible for strategic input in the development, implementation, and achievement of Site AOP targets with respect to HS&E, Cost, Quality, Attainment, Capital Plan, etc. 
• Responsible and Accountable for people management of the Technical Group, which includes Process / Manufacturing Engineering and Process Safety Management. As well as process support for the Capital Management Team and projects. 
• Manages group activities to meet plant AOP targets. Provides overall Leadership and coaching relative to: employee development, compensation, recognition, role clarity, expectations, etc. 
• Translates and communicates the business strategy to the Technical group. 
• Provides leadership, coaching, and expectations for setting Group and individual goals that are aligned with site and business strategy. 
• Assures that budgets are aligned. 
• Maintains communications and collaboration with UOP business, Business Engineering and functional organizations in support of business objectives 
Accountable for supporting a Technical and Capital Project plan that is inclusive of the site Leadership Team. 
• Additionally, partner with Business Engineering Leaders in the overall management of the site Technical Program. 
• Within the Technical Group, ensures the effective and efficient implementation and use of various work processes: Structured Safety Process, HSE, HOS, Maintenance Excellence, Attainment, Capital Management, OEE/TEEP, New Product Introduction, Inventory Management, and other various management systems. 
• Serves as Steward of installed Technologies and provides technical expertise to support plant needs. 
• Accountable for productivity initiatives. 
• Provides support and resources required to meet improvement goals. 
• Drive cost efficiencies and continuous improvement throughout the site functioning as site Champion for the Six Sigma Program. Mentor others for their certification and project completion. 
• Champion / Administrator of 'Technical Support' (Decision Tree) System. 
• Accountable for the overall execution of Process Safety Management including Management of Change at the site. 
• Accountable for developing and assuring compliance with Plant Standards related to PHA's, P&ID's, and PFD's. 
• Ensures appropriate linkage between the Technical Group and other functions are effective: Operating Units, HS&E, Maintenance, Laboratory, HOS etc. 
• Develops, manages, and is accountable for department budget and expenditures. 
• Participate as part of a cohesive Plant Leadership Team. As a member of that team, partners with other Leadership Team Members, Business, R&D, etc., to coordinate and align to cross functional initiatives. 
• Set the example of Leadership across the site driving the Honeywell 12 Behaviors. 
• Understand, utilize, improve and coach the use of the HOS and tools to achieve business objectives.
