Accounting Clerk - Part Time

This position is responsible for accounts payable, sales, and payroll. The Accounting Clerk reports directly to the Accounting Dept Manager. This position requires confidentiality and flexibility in supporting HTP’s Management Team in a manner that accurately/effectively represents our HomeTown mission.

The job expectations and responsibilities include the following:

  • Reviews invoices for accuracy and verifies all invoices are approved for payment and applies any necessary credits and discounts. Handles several invoices that need to be allocated to different locations. Enters invoices in accounting software system. Ensures check issuance is accomplished accurately and timely.
  • Handles reconciliation of several drug invoices and statements. Compile list of invoices on Excel spreadsheets and set up accordingly.
  • Audits sales/deposit information from all locations. This includes reviewing weekly POS sales reports, deposit slips, paid outs, coupons, etc. in order to verify sales and deposits balance for each location.
  • Handles new employee paperwork which involves reviewing forms for accuracy and entering data in payroll accounting system.
  • Supports the bi-weekly payroll process by reviewing hours in time clock system and computing wages, deductions, and reimbursements for several locations.
  • Keeps records of employee files and handles organization of all required paperwork.
  • Supports the Accounting Assistant in answering phones promptly, professionally and in a positive tone.
  • This position requires strong interpersonal skills when communicating with location personnel and teammates.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-5 years’ experience
