Overview
The Director of Digital Media will lead Home Chef’s digital paid media strategy across our family of brands. This role will play a critical part in Home Chef’s customer acquisition and retention initiatives and will work cross-functionally with our Partnerships, Lifecycle and Brand marketing teams.
Responsibilities
Oversee Paid Media Campaigns:
- Develop and execute comprehensive paid search, paid social, and programmatic display ad campaigns aligned with organizational goals and marketing objectives.
- Lead the creation of campaign strategies, including defining target audiences, selecting channels, setting budgets, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and adjust strategies in real-time to optimize results and achieve desired outcomes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and platform updates to incorporate innovative approaches into campaigns.
Conversion Rate Optimization:
- Implement and manage conversion rate optimization strategies, including A/B testing and multivariate testing, to enhance website performance and maximize user engagement.
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to implement changes that positively impact conversion rates while maintaining a seamless user journey.
- Analyze website data, user behavior, and test results to draw insights and recommend actionable improvements.
Promo Testing and Analysis:
- Design and execute promotional tests, analyze results, and provide actionable insights to optimize promotional strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test scenarios, define success criteria, and implement test protocols.
- Analyze test results, draw insights, and provide actionable recommendations for optimizing promotional strategies.
- Monitor and report on key metrics related to promotional campaigns, including customer acquisition, retention, and revenue impact.
People Leadership:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the paid media team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Set clear expectations, define key performance indicators, and conduct regular performance evaluations for team members.
This position requires 0-5% travel.
Qualifications

- 7-10 years of experience in performance marketing at an agency, e-commerce/CPG company, or DTC startup environment
- Completion of a four-year degree program in a related field
- Extensive experience in planning, executing, and optimizing paid search (Google and Bing), paid social (Meta, TikTok, etc.), and programmatic display ad campaigns while adhering to strict CPA goals.
- In-depth understanding of digital media trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Knowledge of conversion rate optimization techniques and experience in implementing A/B tests to improve conversion rates of paid media campaigns.
- Hands-on experience in designing and conducting promotional tests to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing promotions.
- Proficiency in leveraging analytics and data to make informed decisions and optimize digital media performance.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead and inspire developing digital media professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders (Brand, Analytics, Product, Influencer Marketing and Creative) to support and improve paid media advertising efforts
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, Advanced Formulas)
- Ability to hit deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously across numerous channels
Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 Bonus Opportunity
