We are looking for a Senior Staff / GL Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. The Senior Accountant will manage our more complex General Ledger tasks (e.g., reconciling month-end accounts; preparing and posting journal entries into SAP), internal stakeholder communication, and calculation and posting of manual customer invoices into SAP. KEY JOB RESPONSIBLITIES - Senior Staff AccountantAssist in the closing of assigned business accounts.Review work completed by junior level accountants. Run meetings with plant managers as neededPost month and year-end entries into SAP. Assist in maintaining and analyzing various accrual balances.Calculate weekly and monthly manual billings.Calculate monthly and quarterly tax amounts.Assist in providing information to support audits.Help optimize the efficiency of our accounting processes. Perform other duties as needed. QUALIFICATIONS - Senior Staff AccountantBachelor’s degree in accounting At least 5 years of accounting work experience, ideally some in manufacturing ERP experience (we use SAP)Strong knowledge of US GAAPThorough understanding of all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
