Overview
Opportunity: General Cashier
Responsible for controlling the overall hotel’s cash funds and accurate transfer of cash from cashiers drop to the bank.

Essential Job Functions
- Guarantee that all deposits are verified and sealed by a manager and are complete and ready for pick up via armored car service daily.
- Verify cash deposits to the Daily Cashier Deposit Log.
- Prepare daily deposits, cashiers due backs, record and log all due backs and distribute to department managers daily.
- Ensure that a witness is present when opening the drop safe.
- Verify and record contents of cashiers drop envelopes.
- Perform a daily count of the hotel vault and store counts in a binder.
- Maintain hotel vault has adequate change via weekly change orders or as needed according to business levels.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of various schedules and supporting documents as required.
- Distribute change to cashiers during posted hours and restock change machine weekly.
- Dispense petty cash receipts according to SOP and maintain a weekly log to submit to the assistant controller for approval.
- Perform monthly surprise audits of all cash handling employees.
- Issue and record house banks according to SOP and maintain a current log of all house banks.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work outside established schedule as needed to meet critical deadlines.
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
Work Environment and Context
- Requires standing and moving for extended periods, use of hands and fingers to operate equipment and manager merchandise.
