HMS Hotel of Richburg LLC is Hiring a Chief Engineer Near Richburg, SC

Position Summary

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Richburg, SC is looking for a qualified, well-rounded, enthusiastic team player that is passionate and committed to providing an exceptional experience.

Since this is a new build, the Chief Engineer will assist in preparing the property for opening.

The Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenance of the hotel, including grounds, pool, buildling, hotel equipment, mechanical and electrical systems, and safety.

Responsibilities

Preventative Maintenance:

~ Oversees the Preventative Maintenance program.

~ Ensures that guest rooms, meeting room, and public spaces are PMed according to schedule and documented accordingly.

~ Ensuring the property is in compliance and prepared at all times for Quality Assurance.

~ Perform regular property walks and rooms inspections and corrects any maintneance deficiencies, communicates other items to the appropriate departments.

Customer Service:

~ Is committed to providing excellent service.

~ Ensuring front desk team is trained appropriately in basic maintenace.

~ Respond quickly to all maintenance tickets, guest complaints, concerns, and comments.

~ Consistently meets or exceeds hotel service goals.

~ Provides guests with hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.

Human Resources Managment:

~ Be involved in the maintenance training for front ofice team and required housekeeping team members.

~ Maintaining a positive work environment, treating employees fairly and respectfully.

~ Promotes a strong culture led by HMS and IHG.

~ Delivers evaluations on time

Additional Responsibilities:

~ Oversee the cleanliness of the pool and pool area and ensure the pool meets local regulations and requirements, including maintaining chemical levels, vacuuming, and changing filters.

~ Oversees any work assignments and correct or take action on in appropriate time frame.

~ Assists with meeting rooms set ups

~ Schedules and manages service calls with local venders alongside and in communication with the General Manager.

~ Maintains positive relationships with all vendors.

~ Ability to diagnos, troubleshoot, and repair hotel sytems and equipment.

~ Correcting any work orders, including but limited to plumbing, HVAC repair, ice machine repair, laundry repair, drywall repair, television set up and repair, microwave and refrigerator repair, furniture repair, etc.

~ Maintaining a clean and organized maintenence shop that's fully stocked with necessary items to be successful.

~ Ability to order necessary supplies through approved vendors.

~ Leading the mattress flip program, if applicable.

~ Lawn care, if appliable ( ie. snow removal, leaf removal, lawn care, etc. )

~ Maintain ongoing projet files and project sheets.

Work Environment:

~ Must be able to sit and stand for several hours at a time.

~ On occassion required to climb up and down ladders.

~ Required to kneel, reach, squat, craw, pull, push, and twist.

~ Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance and 140 pounds with assistance.

~ Requires fine dexterity.

Requirements

~ Prior maintenance experience is a must, preferably in a hotel setting.

~ Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

~ Experience and knowledge of proper maintenance processes and standards.

~ Ability to plan, organize, and lead others.

~ Customer- service orientated.

~ Excellent work ethic.

~ Strong attention to detail.

~ Ability to work in a fast- paced environment.

~ Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.

~ Ability to multi-task.

~ Excellent problem solving skills.

~ Able to maintain positive and professional relationships with all venders.
