Hitran Corporation is a manufacturing company located in Flemington, New Jersey. We are family owned and operated and have been in business for 60 years. We manufacture transformers, reactors, and inductors that are utilized around the world.

We are looking for an individual to join our team in the role of Electrical Test Technician. The technician will apply their knowledge of single and three phase power testing and basic troubleshooting to Hitran's magnetic components. Employees should prepare by reading work orders, test scheduled, test procedures, performance specs and schematics.

Work to be performed:

-Perform mechanical and visual inspections

-Perform electrical tests

-Record test data on reports (good knowledge of microsoft suite products is helpful)

-Determine acceptance or failure rates and communicate results

-Properly maintain test area and test equipment

-Trouble shoot units and advise production departments for need for rework

-Responsible for adherence to quality standards in the department.

Qualifications

-Training at technical school is helpful but not required

-One year work experience

-Must be familiar with operation of test equipment such as DMM's, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, Insulation tests, Resistance testers, Distortion Analyzers, and other related equipment.

-Employee must be self-motivated and capable of working unsupervised

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
