Hitran Corporation is Hiring a Production Supervisor Near Flemington, NJ
We are seeking an experienced production supervisor to oversee the operations of our manufacturing facility in Flemington, New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
-Manage and direct employees to maximize efficiency and production
-Communicates changes and priorities to employees
-Coordinates the evaluation and development of all manufacturing personnel
-Monitor quality checklist, training, tracking and reporting of errors
-Enforce continuous improvement of staff by addressing shortcomings, devising changes, and following up
-Review personnel needs and offer recommendations for staffing
-Work closely with team leaders to direct employees and jobs
-Pull production prints and distribute to employees
-Scan quality checklists into job folders
-Track down materials for upcoming jobs. Work with Material Manager and shipping/receiving employees
-Work with sales, engineering, and quality departments to ensure on time delivery of products to customers
-Collaborate with scheduler/planner
-Set and modify schedules and priorities as they change
-Serve as an example of leadership by good communication, not being afraid to get your hands dirty and working collaboratively with all employees
-Serve as a liaison with engineering department when necessary
-Facilitate compliance with all applicable Federal and State regulations relating to plant and equipment
-Improve manufacturing by utilizing programs like 5S, lean, and ISO
-Report KPIs and metrics to Top Management Team
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in management or related field
-Five years' experience in manufacturing environment with at least three years as a supervisor
-Strong knowledge of ERP systems and ISO 9001
-Needs to be flexible, have great attention to detail and high energy
-Proven experience as a leader
-Excellent verbal and communication skills
This position will report to the Operations manager. Hours are 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
