Hitachi Careers is Hiring an Aftermarket Operations Specialist Near Chicago, IL

Description

Summary of the position:

The Aftermarket Operations Specialist will support the fulfillment of aftermarket products across all regions. This role will serve as a support specialist to our North America distribution center and support day-to-day operations. Expected to interact with cross-functional HGAP teams to support a global platform consistency as required. Position will support continued logistics cost improvement to HGAP while maintaining exceptional levels of reliability and customer satisfaction.

This position may be located at the Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC office at 8700 West Bryn Mawr, Chicago, Illinois or at the Fairfield, Ohio facility. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Support service level agreements and monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as on-time delivery, fill rates, etc.
  • Support coordination between the third-party fulfillment provider and HGAP aftermarket suppliers.
  • Support regular audit and risk assessments onsite at the third-party location and deliver regular update communication to HGAP aftermarket leadership. Must be in Fairfield, Oho facility once or twice a month. 
  • ERP Support.
  • Gather and maintain customer satisfaction insights in areas impacted by the third-party logistics provider.
  • Support inventory levels and fill rate requirements.
  • Support the day-to-day tasks to ensure product fulfillment of aftermarket products, such as inventory management, inventory replenishment, receiving errors, shipment errors and order prioritization.
  • Support Aftermarket Team as required.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.

Professional experience:

  • One to three years of logistics experience required; experience working with 3PL Fulfillment/Distribution centers preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and initiatives required.
  • Ability to build relationships with and informally influence external business partners to drive improved performance.
  • Strong financial evaluation and analytical capabilities required.
  • Experience in SAP, Databases and BI preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be able to engage and communicate effectively with senior leaders.
  • Strong grasp of MS Office suite required.
  • Comfortable working in matrix organization and influencing at all levels of the organization is a must.
  • Experience with global business expansion and international product portfolios a plus.
  • Audit, risk assessment and negotiations experience a strong plus.
