Responsible for the general maintenance/repair of company-owned buildings, grounds, and vehicles. This position must respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner, including emergencies. Some purchasing of products is necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Compiles bids on various projects and purchases as needed.
• Inspects HIT buildings and grounds for maintenance needs.
• Performs minor building and equipment repairs and alterations.
• Tracks maintenance repairs/costs.
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Completes work per maintenance requests within an adequate time frame.
• Drives company-owned vehicles during work hours.
• Complies with company policies and safety regulations.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet schedules.
• Provides the highest standard of workmanship.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
• Carries cell phone to be able to respond effectively to maintenance requests.
