This position will perform facilities and levee maintenance work part-time under the supervision of the Lower Heart Water Board. The number of hours will vary and be dependent upon seasonal needs. During late spring, summer, and early fall, this position may spend up to 40 hours per week engaged in maintenance work. During the winter months, this position will be engaged for approximately 10 hours per week.

At times, this position may work in unsafe or hazardous conditions. When performing activities with a moderate- to high-risk to safety, this position will engage support from the Morton County Highway Department. This type of support will serve as a safety representative during those moderate- to high-risk activities.
The incumbent’s physical, mental and emotional condition must be commensurate with the demands of the position.
