Hirschler is seeking an experience Electronic Billing Specialist (e-Billing Specialist) to join our billing team. Working in our Richmond office, this full-time e-Billing Specialist will be responsible for accurately managing electronic client invoices. This position requires a strong understanding of legal billing practices, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal attorneys and staff, as well as external clients.

Responsibilities

• Process, review and submit electronic invoices while adhering to attorney and/or client specific guidelines.
• Set up new clients and map cost codes, task codes and other exceptions to various client e-billing platforms
• Monitor and update client and matter information within the 3E system to ensure compliance with client e-billing guidelines
• Ensure accuracy and compliance by reviewing billing entries and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness and compliance with attorney/client guidelines, billing requirements and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, administrative managers and staff to gather necessary information and resolve any billing discrepancies
• Communicate effectively with clients, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional client service
• Maintain organized and accurate billing files with respect to electronic records, invoices and supporting documentation.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an e-Billing Specialist required; experience with e-billing in a legal or professional services environment preferred.
• Proficiency in working with electronic billing systems required; experience with 3E, Elite or other legal software preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to review billing entries and supporting documentation
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, administrative managers and staff.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strict adherence to confidentiality and ethical standards in handling billing information and client data.
