Are you ready to build your career by joining an international automotive company? If so, our client is hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer.
 
What You'll Do: 

• Supports the Module Quality Engineer(s) in advanced quality planning activities such as risk assessment, product and process development.
• Communicates with other Plants in the worldwide Network including joint problem solving.
• Executes the process series before Start of Production (SOP) with the suppliers (worldwide).
• Supports launch projects after hand over to Supplier Quality Assurance ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Conducts the Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR) releases for assigned products.
• Supports new and challenging supplier's quality and production systems.
• Reviews the monthly supplier rating.
• Performs product and process audits due to errors and supplier rating results and initiates counteractions and counteraction verification.
• Leads 8D quality problem solving process for supplier related issues.
• Conducts requalification audits for the quality management system at the supplier location(s).
• Validates start up ability for new parts/processes.
• Collaborates on the part approval process for assigned suppliers.
• Coordinates reduction of supplier related warranty claims via Defect Eradication Process.
• Participates in internal warranty reduction problem solving teams regarding purchased parts.
• Performs other duties as assigned by operations supervisor.

 What You’ll Bring: 

• BS degree in Engineering or related field or the equivalent of 4 years of professional supplier quality process/components experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• 6 years (5 years with a master’s degree) of professional experience in the related part of technology processing.
• Quality Computer Systems including QSYS, SPQM and SAP.
• Certified Quality Management (CQM) and Certified Quality Engineering (CQE) (preferred).
• Expertise with 5 years Knowledge required:
  • Advanced quality planning techniques, including PFMEA, control planning, process flow diagramming, process auditing techniques, and PPAP.
  • Advanced statistical techniques such as capability and standard deviation studies to calculate process variation.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Access, Excel, etc.).
• Basic German language skills, both written and verbal (preferred).
