What You'll Do As an RN (OR): 

• Provide nursing care for patients following established standards and practices by the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act.
• Perform patient assessments reflecting physical, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and cognitive needs and functional abilities.
• Plan and prioritize care based on assessment; evaluate patient progress and revise care to attain expected outcomes.
• Assess patient/family learning needs; plan and educate (involve other disciplines as needed); evaluate teaching effectiveness in achieving desired outcomes.
• Address ethical issues in patient care; provides non-judgmental care that respects patient diversity and acknowledges patient rights; serve as a resource to others to address ethical dilemmas in patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians to plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care.

• Must be able to Scrub and Circulate. 
• For positions providing direct patient care with the nursing assessment requirement:
  • BSN preferred or required within five (5) years of hire date.
  • Current RN Teammates transferring to another RN position in the same department will not be required to complete BSN within five (5) years of the transfer date.
  • Current RN Teammates transferring to another RN position in a different depart must complete their BSN within five (5) years of the transfer date.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of SC.
  • Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
