Responsibilities
Manage assigned client engagements and perform detailed reviews of federal, state, and local income tax returns for tax compliance
Work closely with clients and identify tax planning opportunities
Conduct tax research and interact with taxing authorities on behalf of clients
Train and mentor junior staff in tax accounting principles and best practices
Prepare financial statements, including disclosures, supporting schedules, and tax workpapers
Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies for clients
Participate in firm-wide initiatives and contribute to business development efforts
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 4 years of work experience in tax accounting at a CPA firm
Minimum 2 Years as a Tax Senior
Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
CPA or CPA Candidate
Benefits
Salary: $85K/yr - $100K/yr, negotiable. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the market demand, education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
